The Sandbox is a unique virtual world game that plays like Minecraft, The best-selling open-world game of all time; With ethereum-based functional token SAND, gamers can use The Sandbox Game Maker to create digital assets (non-homogeneous tokens, also known as NFT), upload them to The store, and create games with simple drag-and-drop. Players can use platform token SAND to create, own and profit from their own gaming experience in the Ethereum blockchain. Here you can play, create, collect, earn, govern, and own everything in the game. 
The Sandbox is an ecosystem for players and creators that consists of three main components: The Voxel editor (named VoxEdit), markets, and games. 
SAND tokenholders can participate in The management of The platform through an autonomous organization (DAO), where they can exercise a vote on key decisions of The Sandbox ecosystem. As a player, users can create digital assets (non-homogeneous tokens, aka NFT), upload them to The market, and then drag and drop them through The Sandbox Game Maker to create a Game experience. 
The Sandbox players can collect tokens and resources and trade with other players, creators, artists, and more on The platform. This business model is called "play-to-earn" because whatever they collect in-game is actually owned by the player and they can trade it to other players (either inside the market or on other sites), transfer it to other players or even resell it via token SAND. 
The Sandbox has partnered with over 50 partners including ATARI, Crypto Kitties, Shaun The Sheep, and others to build a creative play-created and play-owned gaming platform.
