<p>EOS is a new blockchain-based smart contract platform developed by Block.one, aiming to provide underlying blockchain platform services for high-performance distributed applications. The EOS project aims to implement an operating system-like blockchain architecture that underpins distributed applications. The architecture provides accounts, authentication, databases, asynchronous communication, and scheduling and parallel computing across tens of thousands of CPU/GPU clusters. EOS will eventually be able to execute millions of transactions per second, while ordinary users execute smart contracts without paying a usage fee. </p>
